Meditation classes - what’s involved?

What to expect at a class

Introductory classes follow a flexible structure, and often begin with a simple breathing meditation exercise to reduce stress, tension, and distractions.

This guided meditation is followed by a talk on how to incorporate meditation techniques and Buddhist principles into daily life. This may include topics such as improving relationships, gaining peace of mind, coping with stress and dealing with anger.

The class may then include another meditation designed to help us gain deeper experience of the subject of the class. Finally, if there is enough time, the class is concluded with questions and answers giving you the opportunity to clarify points.

The class does not include any physical exercise and we sit on chairs to meditate.

You do not need any previous experience to attend these classes. Also, you do not need to book. Simply find a location and come to the class.

Perfect for beginners! Everyone welcome.

Here are some short taster videos of meditation talks by Kadampa Buddhist teachers from around the world.
