School Visits
Visiting the Buddhist community at Dorjechang Centre is an experience that students of all ages can enjoy. It provides them with the opportunity to experience for themselves the way of life of modern day Buddhists and to ask questions relevant to their interests. The community is made up of men and women both lay and ordained.
Some basic information
Many schools find visiting a Buddhist Centre or meeting a Buddhist guest speaker a useful compliment to the RS curriculum, where students can see a living Buddhist community and understand the theories in context. At the Centre, we can accommodate groups of up to 30, from any key stage. Visits are engaging and interactive and geared toward the relevant age groups. We also give talks at schools including assemblies.
